Description
Klenzit C Gel contains adapalene and clindamycin phosphate, making it effective for treating acne vulgaris. Adapalene is a retinoid-like compound that helps to normalize the differentiation of follicular epithelial cells, reducing microcomedone formation and inflammation. Clindamycin phosphate is an antibiotic that inhibits bacterial growth, particularly targeting the bacteria associated with acne.
Dosage/Direction: Apply a thin film of Klenzit C Gel to the affected areas once daily before bedtime, after washing and drying the skin. Avoid contact with eyes, lips, and mucous membranes. Use sunscreen during the day as adapalene can increase sensitivity to sunlight.
Side Effects: Common side effects include burning, stinging, erythema (redness), pruritus (itching), dry or peeling skin. These reactions are usually mild and decrease with continued use. Increased sensitivity to UV light or sunlight may occur, so it’s important to use sunscreen and protective clothing. Rarely, more serious side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, skin rash, and hives may occur.
