Description
Anusol Suppositories 12’s are used to relieve symptoms of internal hemorrhoids and pruritus ani. They contain Hydrocortisone Acetate, which helps reduce inflammation, itching, and swelling. Other ingredients like Benzyl Benzoate, Bismuth Subgallate, Bismuth Oxide, Balsam Peru, and Zinc Oxide work together to soothe irritation and promote healing.
Dosage/Directions
Insert one suppository rectally at night, in the morning, and after each bowel movement.
Avoid handling the suppository for too long as it may melt.
Lie down on your left side with your right knee bent.
Gently push the suppository into the rectum with your finger, deep enough so it does not slide back out.
Remain lying down for a few minutes.
Avoid having a bowel movement for at least 1 hour so the medication can work effectively.
Wash your hands after each use.
Side Effects
Common side effects may include burning, itching, dryness, skin irritation, and changes in skin color around the rectal area. Serious side effects are rare but can include rectal bleeding, unusual bruising/bleeding, and symptoms of stomach/intestinal bleeding. If you experience any severe side effects, seek medical attention immediately.
