Description
Amlotan 12.5mg Tablets 6’s contain almotriptan, a medication used to treat acute migraine attacks. Almotriptan works by narrowing blood vessels around the brain and reducing substances in the body that can trigger headache pain, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound.
Dosage/Directions
Take the prescribed dose as directed by your healthcare provider, usually at the onset of a migraine.
Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Take with or without food, but try to take it at the same time each day.
Do not take more than prescribed and avoid using it for other types of headaches.
Side Effects
Common side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, and tingling sensations. Serious side effects are rare but can include severe chest pain, shortness of breath, and significant changes in blood pressure. If you experience any severe side effects, seek medical attention immediately.
