Description
Dura Tears Ointment 3.5gm is an ocular lubricant used to relieve dry, irritated eyes. It contains white petrolatum and mineral oil, which form a protective film over the eye, providing soothing relief from symptoms such as burning, itching, and discomfort caused by dryness or exposure to wind and sun. This ointment is especially useful for nighttime protection and lubrication.
Dosage/Directions
Apply a small amount (about one-fourth of an inch) of Dura Tears Ointment to the inside of the lower eyelid, preferably at bedtime. Wash your hands before use and avoid touching the tip of the ointment tube to any surface to prevent contamination. Follow your healthcare provider’s instructions regarding the duration of use.
Side Effects
Common side effects include temporary blurred vision, mild eye burning, and stinging. Rare but serious side effects include severe allergic reactions, increased eye redness, and irritation. If you experience any severe or persistent side effects, discontinue use and seek medical attention immediately.
