Hexicord Antiseptic 10ml

Hexicord Antiseptic 10ml is a topical antiseptic solution used for the prophylaxis of omphalitis, an infection of the umbilical cord in newborns. It contains 7.1% w/v Chlorhexidine Gluconate, a potent antimicrobial agent that effectively kills bacteria and reduces the risk of infection. This antiseptic is applied directly to the umbilical cord stump to prevent infection and promote proper healing. The recommended method of application is to clean the umbilical cord stump with a sterile applicator or cotton swab soaked in Hexicord, using it once or twice daily until the stump falls off and heals completely.

Common side effects may include localized irritation or redness at the application site. Rarely, allergic reactions may occur. Discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider if any severe or persistent reactions are observed.
