Aerovent Inhaler is used in the treatment of asthma (wheezing and shortness of breath) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (a lung disorder in which the flow of air to the lungs is blocked). It relaxes the muscles of the air passages and makes it easier to breathe.
Description
Aerovent Inhaler is a combination of two medicines: Salbutamol and Beclometasone. Salbutamol is a bronchodilator which works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Beclometasone is a steroid. It acts by stopping the release of certain natural substances in body that are responsible for inflammation (swelling) of the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.
How to use
Shake the inhaler before use. While you are breathing in from mouth, press down on the inhaler one time to release the medication and hold your breath for 10 seconds. Repeat until you have inhaled the number of puffs as suggested by the doctor.Afterwards, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit it out.
Precautions
Aerovent inhaler may be safe for use in pregnancy. it is important to consult your doctor first before initiating use. Aerovent inhaler is safe for use during lactation. common side effects include; drowsiness, headaches, palpitations, tachycardia,hoarseness of voice, Sore throat, Fungal infections in the mouth, Respiratory tract infection, Headache, Muscle cramps.
Warnings; Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Aerovent Inhaler may cause side effects such as dizziness, increased or uneven heart rate, muscle cramps or muscle pain. This may affect your ability to drive. Always rinse your mouth using clean water after using aerovent inhaler.
