Description
Probeta Eye/Ear/Nose Drops is a combination medication containing betamethasone, a corticosteroid, and neomycin, an antibiotic. It is used to treat bacterial infections and reduce inflammation in the eyes, ears, and nose.
Dosage/Direction: For eye infections, instill 1-2 drops into the affected eye(s) 2-4 times daily. For ear infections, instill 2-3 drops into the affected ear(s) 3-4 times daily. For nasal use, instill 1-2 drops into each nostril 2-3 times daily. Follow your healthcare provider’s instructions carefully and avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.
Side Effects: Common side effects include mild stinging or burning sensation, redness, and temporary blurred vision when used in the eyes. When used in the ears, it may cause mild ear discomfort or itching. Nasal use may cause temporary irritation or dryness. Serious side effects may include increased intraocular pressure, cataract formation, or allergic reactions.
