Description
Tobradex Eye Drops is a combination medication containing tobramycin (an antibiotic) and dexamethasone (a corticosteroid). It is used to treat bacterial infections and inflammation in the eyes.
Dosage/Direction: Instill 1-2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 4-6 hours. During the initial 24-48 hours, the dosage may be increased to 1-2 drops every 2 hours. Follow your healthcare provider’s instructions carefully and avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.
Side Effects: Common side effects include mild eye irritation, burning, stinging, itching, redness, blurred vision, and sensitivity to light. Serious side effects may include increased intraocular pressure, cataract formation, secondary infections, and allergic reactions. If you experience any severe or persistent symptoms, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
