Description
The Zerostat Spacer Device is a medical tool designed to enhance the delivery of asthma medication from a Metered-Dose Inhaler (MDI). It holds the medication for a few seconds after release, allowing for better inhalation and reducing medication deposition in the mouth and throat. This device is static-free, improving drug deposition in the lungs and enhancing the effectiveness of MDI therapy.
Dosage/Directions:
- Remove the mouthpiece cover and shake the MDI inhaler.
- Insert the MDI mouthpiece into the end of the Zerostat Spacer.
- Exhale fully, then place your mouth over the spacer’s mouthpiece.
- Press down on the inhaler to release a dose into the spacer.
- Inhale deeply through the mouth until your lungs are full, hold your breath for a few seconds, then exhale.
- If a second dose is needed, repeat the steps. Rinse your mouth thoroughly after use.
Side Effects: The Zerostat Spacer Device itself has no known side effects. However, improper use or lack of cleaning can lead to oral thrush and throat irritation
