Maalox Plus 250ml Syrup is an antacid formulation used to relieve symptoms of heartburn, acid indigestion, and upset stomach. It contains a combination of Aluminum Hydroxide and Magnesium Hydroxide, which neutralize stomach acid, and Simethicone, which reduces gas bubbles in the digestive tract. This combination provides effective relief from discomfort caused by excess stomach acid and gas.
Dosage: For adults, the usual dosage is 10-20 ml taken after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a healthcare provider. Shake the bottle well before use and measure the syrup with an appropriate dosing cup.
Common side effects include mild gastrointestinal symptoms such as constipation or diarrhea. Rarely, some individuals may experience allergic reactions or increased levels of magnesium in the blood.
