Description
Cetrizet Tablets contain Cetirizine Hydrochloride, an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, and skin rash. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms.
Dosage/Direction
- Adults and children over 12 years: 10 mg once daily.
- Children (6-12 years): 5 mg once daily or 2.5 mg every 12 hours.
- Children under 6 years: Not recommended.
- Administration: Take with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole without chewing.
Side Effects
Common side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, and nausea. Serious side effects are rare but may include severe allergic reactions, difficulty urinating, and severe dizziness. It is contraindicated in patients with severe kidney disease and those allergic to Cetirizine.
