Description
Alzolam 0.5mg Tablets contain alprazolam, a benzodiazepine used to treat anxiety and panic disorders. It works by enhancing the effects of a natural chemical in the body (GABA) to produce a calming effect.
The usual starting dosage is 0.25 to 0.5 mg taken two to three times daily. Dosage may be adjusted based on the patient’s response, but it should not exceed 4 mg per day.
Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, increased saliva production, and changes in sex drive. Serious side effects may include severe allergic reactions, yellowing of the eyes or skin, seizures, and mood changes. Patients with a history of substance abuse, liver or kidney disease, or respiratory issues should use this medication with caution. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid using Alzolam unless advised by a healthcare professional. It is important to take this medication exactly as prescribed to avoid dependence and withdrawal symptoms.
