Bactolid (Linezolid) 600 mg Tablets 10’s

Bactolid 600 mg (Linezolid) is a film-coated tablet containing 600 mg of linezolid, an antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis at the ribosomal level. It is reserved for serious infections where other antibiotics may not be effective.

Pharmacological Class: Oxazolidinone antibiotic

Mechanism of Action: Prevents formation of the initiation complex in bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping bacterial growth.

Indications:

• Community-acquired pneumonia
• Nosocomial pneumonia
• Complicated skin and soft tissue infections
• Infections caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
• Infections caused by vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE)

Pack Size: Typically supplied in strips of 10 tablets (600 mg each).
