Description
LANTUS SoloStar 3ml contains insulin glargine, a long-acting insulin used to control high blood sugar in people with diabetes mellitus. It helps maintain stable blood sugar levels over a 24-hour period, reducing the risk of complications associated with diabetes.
Dosage/Direction:
- Administer subcutaneously once daily at the same time each day.
- The dosage is individualized based on the patient’s needs, blood sugar levels, and doctor’s recommendations.
- Rotate injection sites to prevent lipodystrophy.
- Do not mix with other insulins or solutions.
Side Effects:
- Common: Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), injection site reactions (redness, swelling, itching), weight gain.
- Serious: Severe hypoglycemia, allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing), potassium levels changes.
