Description
Mixtard 30/70 100 IU 10ml is a combination insulin used to manage blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus. It contains 30% short-acting insulin and 70% intermediate-acting insulin, providing both immediate and prolonged blood sugar control.
Dosage/Direction:
- Administer subcutaneously, typically 30 minutes before a meal.
- The dosage is individualized based on the patient’s needs, blood sugar levels, and doctor’s recommendations.
- Rotate injection sites to prevent lipodystrophy.
- Regularly monitor blood glucose levels to adjust the dose as needed.
Side Effects:
- Common: Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), injection site reactions (redness, swelling, itching), weight gain.
- Serious: Severe hypoglycemia, allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing), changes in vision.
