Description
Plavix 75mg Tablets contain Clopidogrel, an antiplatelet medication that prevents blood clots by stopping platelets from sticking together. It is used to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other heart-related issues in patients with heart disease, recent heart attack, or stroke. Plavix is also used in combination with aspirin to treat new or worsening chest pain (unstable angina) and to keep blood vessels open after certain procedures like cardiac stents.
Dosage/Directions
- Adults: Take one tablet (75mg) once daily, with or without food.
- Follow your doctor’s instructions regarding the duration of treatment.
- Do not stop taking Plavix without consulting your doctor.
Side Effects
Common side effects include headache, dizziness, easy bruising, and minor bleeding. Serious side effects may include severe bleeding, allergic reactions, and signs of liver problems. Seek medical attention if you experience unusual bleeding, black or bloody stools, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
