Description
AMOXIFEN 20MG * 30’s is a medication used primarily to treat hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. It belongs to the class of drugs known as Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs). Tamoxifen works by blocking estrogen receptors in breast tissue, which helps prevent the growth of breast cancer cells. It is also used to reduce the risk of breast cancer in high-risk patients.
Dosage/Directions
Take one 20 mg tablet daily, preferably at the same time each day. It can be taken with or without food. For doses greater than 20 mg, the daily dose is usually divided into two doses taken in the morning and evening.
Side Effects
Common side effects include hot flashes, vaginal discharge, and menstrual irregularities. Serious side effects can include blood clots, stroke, and endometrial cancer. If you experience any severe side effects, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
