Uses:
- Pre-Menstrual Syndrome (PMS): Cyclogest is used to treat PMS symptoms, which often affect women during the 7 to 10 days before their monthly period. These symptoms may include feelings of tension, irritability, depression, headache, breast tenderness, weight gain, and bloatedness.
- Post-Natal Depression: Some women experience post-natal depression after giving birth.
- Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART): Cyclogest is also prescribed to women who need extra progesterone while undergoing treatment in an ART program.
Warnings and Precautions:
- Allergies: Do not use Cyclogest if you are allergic to progesterone or any of its ingredients.
- Unusual Vaginal Bleeding: Avoid using it if you have unexplained vaginal bleeding.
- Hormone-Sensitive Tumors: If you have known or suspected hormone-sensitive tumors, consult your doctor.
- Porphyria Disorders: Cyclogest is not suitable for individuals with porphyria disorders.
