Description
Candesartan is a medication primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure. It belongs to a class of drugs known as angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs), which work by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and reducing the workload on the heart.
Aside from managing hypertension and heart failure, candesartan may also be prescribed to reduce the risk of stroke in individuals with high blood pressure and certain other cardiovascular conditions.
