Description
Tincture of Iodine 100ml is an antiseptic solution containing 2% iodine mixed with alcohol. It is commonly used to prevent infections in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns by killing bacteria and other microorganisms.
Dosage/Directions:
- Clean the affected area with soap and water.
- Apply a small amount of the tincture to the wound using a cotton swab or gauze.
- Allow the area to dry before covering it with a sterile bandage if necessary.
- Use 1-3 times daily as needed.
Side Effects: Common side effects include mild irritation, itching, or redness at the application site. Rarely, it may cause blistering, crusting, or severe irritation. Overuse or misuse can disrupt thyroid function and cause symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting if ingested.
