Orelox 40mg/5ml is a liquid antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. Each 100ml bottle contains 200 doses of the medication, making it effective for both adults and children. Orelox’s active ingredient, Cefixime, belongs to the cephalosporin class of antibiotics and works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. The typical dosage is 10 mg/kg body weight daily, divided into two or three doses, depending on the severity of the infection. The treatment duration usually ranges from 5 to 14 days.
