Description
Amlodenk Tablets contain amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and certain types of chest pain (angina). It works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and reducing the heart’s workload.
The usual starting dosage is 5 mg once daily, which may be increased to a maximum of 10 mg daily based on the patient’s response.
Common side effects include dizziness, swelling of the legs or ankles, fatigue, and nausea. Serious side effects are rare but may include severe allergic reactions, worsening chest pain, and significant drops in blood pressure. Patients with liver disease, heart failure, or severe aortic stenosis should use this medication with caution. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their healthcare provider before using Amlodenk. It is important to take this medication regularly, even if you feel well, and to monitor blood pressure frequently.
