Description
Carditan 50mg Tablets contain Losartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and reduce the risk of stroke in patients with heart conditions. Losartan works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily, and reducing the workload on the heart.
Dosage/Directions: The typical starting dose is 50mg once daily, with or without food. Your doctor may adjust the dose based on your response and tolerance. Do not stop taking this medication suddenly without consulting your doctor, as it may worsen your condition.
Side Effects: Common side effects include dizziness, lightheadedness, and increased potassium levels. Rare but serious side effects may include severe allergic reactions, kidney problems, and muscle breakdown (rhabdomyolysis).
