Description
Gabix 300mg tablets contain Gabapentin, an anticonvulsant medication used to treat neuropathic pain and partial seizures. Gabapentin works by inhibiting the release of excitatory neurotransmitters, which helps to reduce nerve pain and prevent seizures. It is also used off-label for conditions such as restless legs syndrome and anxiety disorders.
Dosage/Directions
Adults: The typical starting dose is 300mg on the first day, followed by 300mg twice daily on the second day, and 300mg three times daily on the third day. The maintenance dose ranges from 900mg to 3600mg per day, divided into three doses. Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions and do not discontinue use without consulting them.
Side Effects
Common side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, and peripheral edema. Serious side effects may include mood changes, severe allergic reactions, and signs of liver problems. Seek medical attention if you experience any severe or unusual symptoms.
