Description
Glipita M 50/500mg tablets are used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. Each tablet contains Sitagliptin (50mg) and Metformin (500mg). Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases the levels of incretin hormones, which help regulate blood sugar by increasing insulin release and decreasing glucagon levels. Metformin is a biguanide that reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity, enhancing glucose uptake and utilization by the muscles.
Dosage/Directions
Adults: The typical starting dose is 1 tablet twice daily with meals. The dosage may be adjusted based on the patient’s response and blood sugar levels. Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions and do not exceed the prescribed dose.
Side Effects
