Description
Melacare Cream 15g is a topical treatment used for melasma, a condition that causes dark, discolored patches on the skin. It contains three active ingredients: Hydroquinone (2% w/w), Mometasone Furoate (0.1% w/w), and Tretinoin (0.025% w/w). Hydroquinone is a skin-lightening agent that reduces melanin production, Mometasone is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, and Tretinoin is a retinoid that promotes skin cell turnover.
Dosage/Directions:
Apply a thin layer of Melacare Cream to the affected area once daily, preferably at night, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Clean and dry the affected area before application. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth. Use sunscreen and protective clothing during the day to prevent further skin darkening.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. Prolonged use may cause skin thinning, stretch marks, or increased sensitivity to sunlight. If severe side effects occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider immediately.
