Description
Naproxen 500mg Tablets are a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain and inflammation caused by conditions such as arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, tendinitis, bursitis, gout, or menstrual cramps. Naproxen works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.
Dosage/Directions:
The typical starting dosage for adults is one 500mg tablet taken twice daily, with or without food. For acute pain, an initial dose of 500mg followed by 250mg every 6 to 8 hours as needed is recommended. The total daily dose should not exceed 1250mg. It is important to follow the dosage instructions provided by a healthcare professional and not to exceed the recommended amount.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include stomach upset, heartburn, nausea, headache, dizziness, and drowsiness. Some patients may experience constipation, diarrhea, or rash.
