Description
Norfloxacin 400mg Tablets (Uniflox) are a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections, particularly those affecting the urinary tract and prostate. Norfloxacin works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria, effectively treating infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria.
Dosage/Directions
Take one tablet every 12 hours, preferably on an empty stomach, one hour before or two hours after a meal. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Avoid taking dairy products or calcium-fortified juices within two hours of taking the medication. Follow your doctor’s instructions regarding dosage adjustments.
Side Effects
Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, and headache. Less common side effects may include insomnia, abdominal pain, and photosensitivity. If you experience severe side effects such as tendon pain, swelling, or signs of an allergic reaction, seek medical attention immediately.
