Description
Pantocid Tablets contain Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid production. They are used to treat conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Pantocid Tablets help relieve symptoms like heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough.
Dosage/Directions
- Adults: Take one tablet (40mg) once daily, preferably one hour before a meal.
- The duration of treatment is usually 4-8 weeks, but follow your doctor’s instructions.
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew.
Side Effects
Common side effects include headache, diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, and dizziness. Rare side effects may include severe allergic reactions, low magnesium levels, and increased risk of bone fractures. Consult your doctor if side effects persist or worsen.
