Description
Clavulin 1g Tablets contain a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic that fights bacteria, while clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents bacteria from becoming resistant to amoxicillin. This combination is effective against a wide range of bacterial infections, including sinusitis, pneumonia, ear infections, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, and skin infections.
Dosage/Directions
Take one Clavulin 1g tablet orally every 12 hours, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Avoid taking it with dairy products or calcium-fortified juices. Complete the full course of treatment as prescribed, even if symptoms improve. Stay hydrated while on this medication.
Side Effects
Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, and skin rash. Serious side effects may include liver problems, severe allergic reactions, and Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms such as yellowing of the skin or eyes, severe abdominal pain, or persistent diarrhea.
