Description
Daboral 250mg Tablets contain aminosidine sulphate (paromomycin), an aminoglycoside antibiotic effective against a variety of intestinal protozoal infections. It is commonly used to treat conditions such as amoebiasis, cryptosporidiosis, and giardiasis. Paromomycin works by inhibiting protein synthesis in the protozoa, leading to their death.
Dosage/Directions
Take one Daboral 250mg tablet orally every 8 hours, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Complete the full course of treatment as prescribed, even if symptoms improve. Stay hydrated while on this medication.
Side Effects
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Serious side effects may include hearing loss, kidney problems, and severe allergic reactions. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms such as severe abdominal pain, hearing changes, or unusual bleeding.
