Description
Daktacort Cream contains a combination of miconazole nitrate and hydrocortisone. Miconazole nitrate is an antifungal that works by destroying the fungus causing the infection and some associated bacteria. Hydrocortisone is a mild corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, swelling, redness, and itching. This cream is used to treat inflamed skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis, which may be caused by fungal or bacterial infections.
Dosage/Directions
Apply a thin layer of Daktacort Cream to the affected area twice daily, in the morning and evening. Gently rub it into the skin. Avoid using it on the face unless directed by a doctor. Do not cover the treated area with a bandage or dressing unless instructed by your doctor. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the cream.
Side Effects
Common side effects include mild skin irritation, itching, or redness at the application site. Serious side effects may include severe allergic reactions, skin thinning, or stretch marks.
