Description
Imigran 100 mg Tablets contain sumatriptan, a selective serotonin receptor agonist used to treat migraines. Sumatriptan works by narrowing blood vessels around the brain and blocking the release of substances that trigger migraine pain, reducing headache symptoms, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. It is effective in treating migraines with or without aura.
Dosage/Direction:
The typical adult dose is 1 tablet (100 mg) taken as soon as migraine symptoms appear. If the migraine returns, a second dose can be taken after at least two hours, but do not exceed 300 mg in 24 hours. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, and a sensation of pressure or tightness. Rare but serious side effects include chest pain and shortness of breath. Seek medical attention if you experience severe or unusual symptoms.
