Description
Lactulac Solution 100ml is a laxative solution used to relieve constipation and improve bowel regularity. It contains Lactulose, a synthetic disaccharide that works by drawing water into the colon, which softens the stool and stimulates bowel movements. It is commonly used for short-term relief of constipation and to manage chronic constipation in adults and children.
Dosage: For adults, the usual starting dose is 15-30 ml once or twice daily, which can be adjusted based on response. For children, dosage should be determined by a healthcare provider. It should be taken orally, either on its own or mixed with water or juice.
Common side effects may include abdominal bloating, cramping, and gas. Less common side effects might include diarrhea or nausea. If side effects are severe or persist, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider.
