Description
Nevanac Eye Drops contains nepafenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used to reduce pain and inflammation in the eyes, particularly after cataract surgery.
Dosage/Direction: Instill 1 drop into the affected eye(s) three times daily, starting 1 day before cataract surgery and continuing through the first 2 weeks of the postoperative period. Shake the bottle well before use. Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket, and squeeze the dropper to release a drop into the pocket. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.
Side Effects: Common side effects include temporary stinging or burning, eye redness, headache, and a dry or sticky feeling in the eye. Serious side effects may include eye swelling, discharge, extreme watering, vision changes, or eye pain. If you experience any severe or persistent symptoms, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
