Description
Ontel AM 80/5mg Tablets are a combination medication used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Each tablet contains two active ingredients: Telmisartan (80mg) and Amlodipine (5mg). Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker that helps relax blood vessels, improving blood flow and lowering blood pressure. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that reduces the workload on the heart by relaxing blood vessels. This combination effectively manages blood pressure and reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke.
Dosage/Directions
Take one tablet daily, preferably in the morning, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not exceed the prescribed dose. Consistency in taking the medication at the same time each day is crucial for optimal results.
