Description
Otorex Ear Drops is a combination medication containing paradichlorobenzene, benzocaine, chlorbutol, and turpentine oil. It is used to manage ear discomfort associated with excessive or impacted earwax by softening and dissolving the wax, reducing pain, and lubricating the ear canal.
Dosage/Direction: Instill 2-3 drops into the affected ear(s) 3-4 times daily, or as directed by your healthcare provider. Tilt your head to the side, gently pull the earlobe to open the ear canal, and squeeze the dropper to release the drops. Keep your head tilted for a few minutes to allow the medication to spread. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.
Side Effects: Common side effects include temporary stinging or burning sensation, dizziness, and skin rash or itching in or around the ear. Serious side effects may include severe pain, discharge from the ear, or hearing loss. If you experience any severe or persistent symptoms, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
