Description
Each tablet contains 600mg of Sodium Chloride which is gradually released to avoid high concentrations of sodium chloride. One of its main uses is to maintain the electrolyte balance of fluid in our body. If levels of electrolytes become too low we can become dehydrated and if they become to high we can be over hydrated.
Slow sodium tablets contain the active ingredient sodium chloride (salt). The effective formula is slowly released into the body over a period of time to gradually increase levels of sodium chloride whilst preventing high concentrations from occurring. They work to prevent salt depletion to treat and prevent sodium chloride deficiencies.
Dosage
Adults to prevent sodium chloride deficiency: 4 – 8 tablets per day.
For cases of severe salt loss: up to 20 tablets per day may be required.
To control muscle cramps during haemodialysis (treatment with a kidney machine): 10 – 16 tablets
