Description
Travocort Cream contains isoconazole nitrate and diflucortolone valerate, making it effective for treating fungal infections of the skin where inflammation is also a problem. Isoconazole nitrate treats fungal diseases, while diflucortolone valerate suppresses inflammation and soothes symptoms such as itching, burning, and pain.
Dosage/Direction: Apply a thin layer of Travocort Cream to the affected area twice daily, or as directed by your doctor. Gently rub it in until fully absorbed. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, and other mucous membranes. Do not cover the treated area with bandages or other dressings unless instructed by your doctor.
Side Effects: Common side effects include burning, itching, redness, or dryness at the application site. Prolonged use may lead to skin thinning, stretch marks, or systemic effects due to corticosteroid absorption. Rarely, severe allergic reactions such as rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing may occur. Discontinue use and seek immediate medical attention if you experience any severe reactions.
