Travoprost is a medication used in the form of eye drops primarily to reduce high pressure inside the eye. It belongs to a class of drugs known as prostaglandin analogs. High pressure in the eye can lead to a condition called glaucoma, which can cause vision loss if left untreated. Travoprost works by increasing the drainage of fluid (aqueous humor) out of the eye, thereby lowering the pressure inside the eye.
