Description
Xylolin Child Nasal Spray 10ml contains xylometazoline, a decongestant used to relieve nasal congestion in children aged 2 to 12 years. It works by narrowing the blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and congestion.
Dosage/Direction:
- Blow the child’s nose gently before use.
- Keep the child’s head upright and insert the spray tip into one nostril.
- Press the other nostril closed with your finger.
- Spray the medication while the child breathes in through their nose.
- Repeat for the other nostril if needed.
- Use 1 to 2 sprays in each nostril every 8 to 10 hours, not exceeding 3 doses daily.
- Do not use for more than 3 consecutive days.
Side Effects:
- Common: Temporary burning, stinging, dryness in the nose, runny nose, sneezing.
- Serious: Fast or pounding heartbeat, dizziness, headache, nausea, trouble sleeping, allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing).
